Distracted driving

Steven Halvorsen navigated around the obstacle course set up in the Fort
High gym last Wednesday in the Simulated Impaired DriviNg Experience
(SIDNE) vehicle along with passenger Jason Strom. As the newest teaching
tool for the Substance Abuse Prevention Team, the vehicle can be rigged
to have a second-and-a-half delay in response time so youth can see how
their own driving skills are affected by drugs, alcohol, and
distractions.
