DARE Program
The Rainy River Valley Safety Coalition supports the DARE program through financial contributions to train the officers to deliver the curriculum. Learn more

Halloween Programs
Family and Children’s Services and the Rainy River Valley Safety Coalition have teamed up for a second-straight year to help make Hallowe’en safe for district youngsters. Learn more

Honour Roll Program
The Rainy River Valley Safety Coalition handed out Safety Honour Roll Awards to people fro across the area. Learn More

Marine Safety
Enforcement on area lakes and rivers. OPP have an active marine program both on and off the lakes. Learn More

Rail Road Safety Programs

Safe Playgrounds
This was started in 1997. The result is a playground safety audit. All of the playgrounds where revamped or closed if unsafe. Learn More

There are three coalitions in the District that meet and discuss senior safety issues. Learn More

Substance Abuse Program
The Substance Abuse Prevention Team and it's partners are dedicated to educating the public about and preventing substance abuse. Learn More

2006 Seat Belt Campaign
Bill 73--An “Act to Enhance the Safety of Children and Youth on Ontario’s Roads” was passed to improve road safety for all young people.Learn More

Safe Community Designations
Motorists entering nearby towns will be sure to know the they are a “safe community” in the future after representatives from the Rainy River Valley Safety Coalition presented new signs declaring such to each council. Learn More

2007 Bike Helmet Campaign
The OPP and Rainy River Valley Safety Coalition once again are partnering up to offer incentives to kids to wear their bike helmets this summer. Learn More
